May 4th Picks

Hey sport fans, busy day today, will try to periodically post picks as best as possible to try and get some greenage! Went 3-4 yesterday, but the underdog system went 2-2, so if just betting that, would've won some money!

Kind of shocked at the results so far when I went back on these posts and added up the record for the underdog system. 17-8. Damn, counted it twice just to make sure. I may just start doing that because have gotten screwed plenty on favorites winning. They play so many games, the underdogs are bound to win a good chunk of those.

Here's the picks for today, the first 3 are the underdog system, gonna have a go at that, follow if you like, but no guarantees! The Astros game is just because the line is so high and the Astros have been kinda lighting things up lately. The Dodgers seem like a good play too.

Underdog System:

Pirates vs Padres
Pirates +120

This follows the underdog system. No significant loss or win streaks. Odds are good. And even better, the Pirates pitcher is ranked 14th in the NL standings so that adds just a little something more there.

Result: Pirate 7 Padres 4 WON

Rockies vs Diamondbacks
DBacks +119

Underdog System. Also, the Diamondbacks strung a couple of wins together and the Rockies seem to be in a little bit of a slump. Lets hope that continues.

Rockies 6 Dbags 4 LOST

Nationals vs Phillies
Nationals +133

Underdog system. A bold one on that too. The Phillies are obviously a bad ass team, but the Nats pitcher is in the top 20 of the NL league, so underdog we will!

Result: Nats 4 Phillies 7 LOST

Astros vs Reds

OVER 9

This line seems ridiculous, and it's just because it's the Astros. But they've been doing fairly well in their last few games, and the pitcher for the Reds hasn't. This has all the chances of being a shoot out, and a look at the OVER may not be a bad idea either, which is at even at the moment. Betting minimal here, just a nice payout for a decent chance.
The OVER looks real good here. Two bad pitchers, look for runs scored early and throughout the game and both teams going to the bullpen early.

Result: Astros 2 Reds 3 Lost
Stupid ass closer, ahhh! The Astros were up 2 to 0 in the 9th, and the closer gives 3 runs, and not a single out!

Cubs vs Dodgas
Dodgas -120

The Cubs got the best of the Dodgas last night, but I don't see it happening again. Zambrano is absolutely terrible against the Dodgas, going 0-4 with a 7.42 ERA so the Dodgas bats must be licking their lips for this match up. Lilly has done fairly well against these cubbies, so look for the tables to turn in this game.

Yanks vs Tigers
Yanks even

I think for even money this could be a good play, and fits into the underdog system. The Yanks pitcher has gotten his most wins against the Tigers, and everything else fits into play too.
